Interested in discovering the origins of Wine? No, it was not your Grandfather’s home-made brew stored safely in a wooden barrel downstairs in his cellar….oops sorry today it’s called a “basement!” Here’s your opportunity to learn why, “Wine was the nectar of the Gods;” often depicted as conferring longevity or immortality upon whoever consumed it!
All residents of Westlake (including myself) have been invited to sample over 40 different wines at “Westlake’s 3rd Annual Wine Tasting Festival” on September 30th, from 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM. We will sample Cabs, Malbec’s, Merlot, Shiraz, Blends, Tempranillo, Montepulciano, Chards, Pinot Grigio, Chenin Blanc and many more! There will also be Five Food Tasting Stations including: Blackened Chicken Sliders, Penne Marinara with Mini Meatballs, Bruschetta Crostini’s, Tortilla Chips with Roasted Corn & Black Bean Salsa, and other Crudités that I will certainly partake of. A Commemorative Westlake Wine Tasting Glass will be included with cost of registration. Featured wines may be purchased at discounted prices from Plaza Wine Center’s in Jackson.
Registration forms are available either from 1) the Weekly Activity Newsletter 2) the Concierge Desk or 3) contacting westlakewinetastingclub@gmail.com.
