The Evening of May 11th found residents of Jackson Township packing the Ballroom at Westlake Golf & Country Club (GCC) to attend the annual Business Expo presented by the Jackson Township Chamber of Commerce (JTCC). Attending members of the Chamber were banks, attorneys, contractors, realtors, entertainment venues, together with, dental and health care providers. However, highlighting the event were the Restaurants! Offering tasty desserts, “Creative Catering by Natalie,” could hardly keep samples from disappearing as quickly as the pastries were displayed! Hot delicious pizza was served by, “Destino’s,” sandwiches and various burgers were prepared by the, “Jackson Diner,” while “Wok n Roll,” gave us Asian Fusion and “Bubba’s Burrito’s” handed out Mexican Cuisine.
Visitor’s that enjoyed the many merchants offerings included: the Jackson Chamber of Commerce 2016, “Man of the Year,” Assemblyman Ron Dancer, as well as, our Mayor Michael Reina, both strong supporters of businesses in Jackson. We overheard many residents suggesting their appreciation for all the vendors that participated, with the intention of supporting their local businesses.
Clara Glory, from Glory’s Market and member of the Chamber’s Board of Director’s, assisted in welcoming visitors with a chance to win a basket filled with scratch off lottery tickets! The Jackson Women of Today focused on getting the word out in support of the Jackson Food Pantry. Account representative Lorrie Toscano from, “Micromedia Publications,” distributed the Jackson Times, a free local newspaper in hard copy print, while all vendors passed out respective business tokens.
The 2016 Jackson Township Chamber of Commerce Directory was distributed with services, names and numbers of our community retailers. A fitting moto of the Chamber states, “Think Jackson First!” Precisely, as do the residents of the Westlake Golf & Country Club!
