Remembering the song “Let Me Entertain You” from the production “Gypsy,” reminds me of the many ways Westlake Golf & Country Club entertains residents!
The last show of the season for our very own Classic Car Owners will be held September 9th from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM in the Westlake Parking lot. Bagels and Coffee will be served.
The Italian American Club’s Annual Feast will be held Saturday September 29, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 pm by the pool area. Food will be served with entertainment by Teo Ricciardella an Italian Opera singer from Naples, Italy, and Francesca Cavillieri an Italian-American Vocalist also from Italy.
The event will consist of a buffet of eggplant parmesan, Chicken Scarpello, Baked Ziti, Sausage and Peppers, Zuppa Di Mussels, Italian Bread and Rolls, Salads, Iggy Zeppolis and Italian Ices.
Membership admittance for the feast and new members are all welcome. Tickets can be purchased through the Italian-American Club web site, members will receive forms in their mail tunnels, while non-members can go to the Concierge desk at the Clubhouse. President Linda Antico, or Vice President Linda Caristo may be contacted for further information regarding all Italian-American Club programs. Remember, it’s not too late to join the club and enjoy all the spectacular upcoming entertainment and food events.
The Recreation Committee came up with the idea of selling a season pass, later named VIP Concert Series, to encourage attendance by selling 5 shows for the price of 4. By increasing ticket sales it was hoped we could get even better talent for our shows. The series has been a big success. From 2011 to the present we have hosted such greats as: David Brenner, Lucie Arnaz, Freddie Roman, The Stylistics, Sarge, The Drifters and The Duprees.
