The Westlake Golf Committee, with strong support of the Board of Trustees developed a “get into golf” program. It’s focused on our residents who purchased homes at Westlake with the intention of playing golf someday, either when they retire, or when they get completely settled into their new homes.
The program is terrific and it is making it easier for this group to learn the game and begin to take full advantage of playing on their beautiful home golf course. It is the start of a lifetime of fun and fellowship.
For a small registration fee, new golfers receive a step-by-step guide to the basics of the game.
Starting with clinics on the practice green, there are individual lesson with our PGA Professional. After the golfers complete those steps, we teamed them up with a member of our Golf Committee to play a round of golf.
The program is extremely successful with over 80 people signing up. We hope they will continue to take advantage of this fast start and continue to play and enjoy the game.
